This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Well, it's not about the GNU/Linux I won't use. I just don't like (actually I like it) debian that much since last time I used it was nothing but pain and I found distros like slackware and gentoo much better to configure. Even LFS was better. (Yeah I have build it by myself.)
Of course this is a matter of taste and Debian has made a lot of progress since last time I used it. It's much improved and actually I happen to like it almost equally to Slackware now. Gentoo is still my number one distro because it let's you install linux from scrach thought semi automated prosess. You can optimize everything on the way.
But like I said it's matter of taste. I like Gentoo, Arch and Crux kind of distros. Arch is the closest to debian and slackware because of the precompiled packages. But that's where the similarities end.
I hope you'll try Gentoo one day if you already haven't. If you don't want to optimize all the things by yourself you can have a precompiled base binary package called stage3 but that's whole another story...
